Dallas Fed Names Steve Purser as Assistant Vice President

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has promoted Steve Purser to assistant vice president with responsibility for the Retail Payments Office’s check architecture group.
Purser previously served as IT director. He began his career at the Dallas Fed in 1989 as a programmer in the checks department. Purser has been involved with a number of Federal Reserve System efforts; he was co-inventor for eight patents related to the Check 21 Act and has also been involved in the check standardization and FedNow efforts.
Purser holds a B.S. in computer information systems from DeVry Institute of Technology.
